FORL 4061 - Teaching Diverse World Language Learners - Student Teaching 4 Credit Hours
Pre/Corequisites: Prerequisites: completion of all other course in teacher education, and passing score on departmental language proficiency examination. Lab Fee-Stu Teaching/Practicum - $125
Description Student Teaching in Foreign Languages. This full-time field-based experience offers students an opportunity to hone their teaching skills in local K-12 world language classrooms under the guidance of a university supervisor and an on-site mentor. Students will gain experience planning, instructing, and assessing for diverse learners. The course culminates with the official submission of edTPA (a national standardized teacher performance assessment), which is required for teacher certification. This course may include a Signature Experience component. Global Scholars Distinction Course. This course may include a Signature Experience component.
