Description
Must meet RCB upper division course requirements and 45 semester hours. This course focuses on the basic concepts, issues, and techniques needed for efficient and effective supply chain and operations management, i.e., procurement, operations and network planning. Supply Chain management introduces high-level strategy and concepts while giving students the practical tools necessary to solve supply chain problems. Special emphasis is placed on process improvement and supply chain management. Topics include the link between supply chain and customer value; supply chain and corporate value creation; creating a responsive supply chain; managing the global pipeline; managing supply chain relationships; managing risk in the supply chain; and creating a sustainable supply chain.
