PHIL 1010 - Critical Thinking

Description
This course has three main aims: Demonstrate the importance of thinking critically across varied contexts and disciplines, introduce common obstacles to critical thinking and how to overcome them, and outline formal and informal argument forms and how to evaluate their strength. Some of the contexts explored may include daily decision-making, expertise, news and information, commercial and political advertising, science, and morality.
