Georgia State University’s Urban Education Endorsement provides specialized preparation for teaching in urban settings at the level of an educator’s base certificate. Undergraduate education majors who are enrolled in teacher certification programs where the endorsement is not embedded, may apply to be enrolled in the stand-alone endorsement.
Successful completion of an undergraduate education degree, initial teacher certification, and the associated key assessments, qualifies a person for the add-on endorsement to their base certificate..
