Social Work Minor
|
|
The Minor in Social Work offers students an in-depth introduction to the field of social work and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. The minor is designed to provide students with foundational knowledge and practical skills necessary for advancing social justice, addressing societal challenges, and contributing to the well-being of diverse populations. Students will explore the dynamics of human behavior, social environments, and social welfare institutions while developing culturally responsive communication and case management skills. This minor complements a variety of major fields (i.e. Education, Nursing, Psychology, and Public Health) by fostering a deeper understanding of social issues, advocacy, and policy.
