B.S. Public Policy / Masters of Public Policy (M.P.P) Dual Degree Program

The dual Bachelor of Science in Public Policy of Public Policy (MPP) program offers a unique pathway for high-achieving undergraduate students to accelerate their career prospects in public policy by earning a graduate degree within a year of completing a bachelor’s degree. Students can enroll in graduate courses in their undergraduate program and then apply these courses to both the B.S. in Public Policy and MPP degrees.
Eligibility & Application: Students must be the B.S. in Publicy Policy major with a 3.3 institutional GPA and have successfully completed PMAP 3311 - Critical Policy Issues-CTW with a final grade of A- or better. Majors can apply to the program in the semester that they complete 60 credit hours.
Students must be accepted into the dual degree program. Admission does not mean that students are simultaneously granted admission to the master’s degree program. Students still will be required to apply for the MPP program as they complete requirements of the dual degree program.

Dual Degree Course Requirements
B.S./Master of Public Policy Dual Degree students can fulfill up to 12 credit hours of undergraduate Major Area and Elective requirements and 12 credit hours of MPP requirements by completing the following courses with a grade of B or better: Choose one: Students may petition to the Undergraduate and Graduate Director to substitute no more than one course from this sequence with another course required for the MPP. |
