Description
This course examines responsive classroom management as a method of establishing a learning community that fosters students’ academic development as well as their social and emotional growth. Methods for proactive and sustaining classroom management are examined and developed, including routines & rules, time, space & material management, and logical consequences that support growth and learning. In this field-based course, candidates also examine the intersection of effective planning, instruction, assessment, parental communication, and technology as critical components of effective in-person and virtual teaching and learning.
