DSCI 8940 - Data Science Internship

Prerequisites: In order to enroll in the course, students are required to fulfill the eligibility criteria for the concentration of Big Data and Machine Learning (BDML) in the Data Science and Analytics M.S. program, and submit a valid Data Science Internship Offer Letter from an internship company to the Program Director of the BDML Program.
Description
This course offers students the opportunity to obtain significant hands-on experience in a professional Data Science role within the industry. Throughout their internship, students will be tasked with completing a Data Science-related project. Additionally, each student enrolled in the course will be required to maintain a work journal documenting their activities throughout the internship and submit a comprehensive final project report detailing the specific tasks, experiences and accomplishments achieved during their internship period.
