PT 6709 - Professional Practice I: The Doctoring Professions

Prerequisites: Entry into the PT program.
Description
This is the first in a three-course series on professional practice designed to enhance student growth and professional development. This course focuses on written and oral communication issues and skills, and addresses professional and patient perspectives. Students will be introduced to the history of physical therapy, the American Physical Therapy Association and its foundational documents including the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice. Physical therapy professional attributes and professional behaviors will be highlighted.
