Prerequisites: PHYS 6520 with grade of C or higher, or equivalent.
Description
Electrostatics, Poisson’s and Laplace’s equations, Green’s functions; boundary-value problems in electrostatics; multipoles, electrostatics of macroscopic media, dielectrics; and magnetostatics. Three lecture hours a week.
