MBA 8115 - Managerial Accounting and Control Systems 1.5 Credit Hours Prerequisites: MBA 8000 and MBA 8025 . Corequisites: MBA 8015 and MBA 8030 and MBA 8040 and MBA 8045 . Description Restrictions: Not allowed for the Master of Professional Accountancy program. This course demonstrates how managerial accounting and control systems can help managers make affective operating and strategic decisions within the firm. In particular, this course uses cases and other materials to demonstrate how cost, planning, and performance measurement systems can help managers increase the effectiveness of small and large firms within their current and future operating environment. To help students develop the analytical skills necessary for evaluating alternative designs of control systems, this course also introduces economic and behavioral theories of managerial control.
