NURS 8050 - Quantitative Research Methods I

Prerequisites: NURS 8120, NURS 8140, NURS 8040, NURS 8045.
Description
The first course in a two course sequence focuses on the application of basic quantitative research designs to nursing research. The advantages and limitations of quantitative methodologies will be presented including usefulness for knowledge development in nursing. Students will begin development of a quantitative research proposal based on guidelines of a selected funding agency. Emphasis is on descriptive, correlational, and comparative designs and their application.
