NUTR 7200 - Nutrition and Disease


3 Credit Hours
Prerequisites: NUTR 3500/NUTR 6500  and NUTR 3700/NUTR 6700  or equivalent and consent of instructor.
Description
This course introduces students to the role of nutrition in the prevention and management of diseases and conditions related to the gastrointestinal tract, cardiovascular system, the renal system, and pulmonary function. Anemias, metabolic disorders, inflammation, immunological disorders, and osteoporosis are also reviewed.
