OT 6240 - Clinical Skills for Occupation Based Practice Seminar II

Corequisites: OT 6140.
Description
This is the second integrative seminar in the four-seminar sequence. The student will participate in approximately 40 hours of supervised client involvement in a variety of settings. The seminar portion of this course is designed to enhance clinical reasoning processes and the use of sound judgment by integrating knowledge and skills from previous educational and work experiences and from concurrent OT courses with weekly fieldwork experiences. This seminar focuses on task analysis, and active participation in the OT processes of screening, evaluation and referral. Students will participate through self-directed and collaborative learning, class participation and leadership activities.
