PHPH 9820 - Biostatistical Methods II

Description
This course focuses on regression models for continuous and discrete data, building on the methods learned in PHPH 9810: Biostatistical Methods I. The generalized linear model framework is introduced, which incorporates a number of different statistical models including linear, logistic, and Poisson regressions. Attention is paid to model estimation, statistical inference for regression coefficients and predictive values, regression diagnostics, variable selection, and assessment of model fit. Equal emphasis is placed on conceptual understanding as well as practical application and interpretation in real data settings.
