Criminal Justice Concentration

The Criminal Justice concentration prepares students for managerial, planning, and development careers in the court system, corrections, and law enforcement, as well as positions in local, state, or national government. Students will develop knowledge and skills necessary for effective public management: planning and decision-making, managing people, money and programs. It also enables those who currently perform administrative responsibilities with the opportunity for substantial professional development.

CRJU 7010 - Crime and the Criminal Justice System 3 Credit Hours
or CRJU 8010 - Theory and Practice in Criminal Justice 3 Credit Hours
Choose:
CRJU 8710 - Legal Aspects of Criminal Justice 3 Credit Hours
or CRJU 8310 - Correctional Issues 3 Credit Hours

or CRJU 8110 - Law Enforcement Issues 3 Credit Hours

Concentration Electives (9 Credit Hours)

Select three courses from the following:

PMAP 8900 - Capstone: Advanced Projects for Public and Nonprofit Organizations 3 Credit Hours
Any course(s) from 6000-8000 level CRJU courses that are not used as required courses.
