Biological Sciences, M.S., Biotechnology Concentration


Biotechnology is a field within Biology that emphasizes the use of advanced molecular tools and cellular techniques to ask mechanistic questions and solve important, modern problems.  Interest in this field continues to grow and experience in it gives students access to career opportunities in laboratory research, commercial and industrial applications, agriculture, medicine and beyond.

Biotechnology Core (4 Hours)


Students will select one lab-based course from below:

Biotechnology Electives (11 Hours)


Students will select 11 credit hours from the following list of courses. Up to eight of these credit hours may also come from coursework outside of Biology.  Such coursework will require the approval of the M.S. Program Director.  

Non-Thesis Capstone (4 hours)
