Nursing Post-Master’s Certificate

Nursing offers post-master’s certificates in all clinical concentrations to enable nurses who hold master’s degrees in nursing to gain the knowledge and competencies needed for certification in a specific clinical concentration. The options offered are Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. The Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner option is currently on hold.

In addition to holding a master’s degree in nursing, applicants must meet the same admission requirements as all M.S. applicants. Graduate Record Exam (GRE) and Miller Analogies Test (MAT) are waived.
