Policy Analytics Concentration


This concentration prepares students to apply the knowledge and skills of data analytics to inform policy choices in the public and nonprofit sectors. Policy analytics examines large, structured and unstructured data for insights, prediction, and evaluation of individual and organizational behavior, spatial forms, and/or public and nonprofit programs. Students learn how to wrangle and analyze complex data, effectively visualize and communicate results, and contribute to the open source community. Graduates are prepared for positions as data analysts and other data-intensive roles in private, public and nonprofit organizations that need rapid-cycle analysis for policy-making and innovative service delivery.
