ASTR 8100 - Stellar Structure and Evolution

4 Credit Hours
Description
The concepts of thermodynamics, hydrostatics, energy transport, and nuclear energy generation are developed to understand the structures of stars. Time-dependent versions of these relations are then used to understand star formation, stellar evolution, red giants, white dwarfs, and supernovae. Four lecture hours a week.
