Description
This course explores how major sports stadiums can contribute positively and negatively to the neighborhoods and communities that surround them. Students will analyze the extent to which sports stadiums respond (or contribute) to the problems of neighborhoods and communities. In particular, the course focuses on the places and people that have historically been subjected to unjust and inequitable public policy, thereby leading to a more complete understanding of the relationship between stadiums, the natural and built environments, and urban communities.
