PHPH 7155 - Air Quality and the Environment

Description
Air quality is a significant public health concern that affects millions of people across the globe. The quality of air that we breathe, especially in urban environments, is an important determinant of our health. This course examines the nature of air pollution, how it is characterized and the health impacts of exposure. The class will review relevant epidemiological, toxicological and clinical research; conduct hands-on fieldwork; and study current events.
