Description
This course involves students in an in-depth study of cultural, social, and political factors affecting the acquisition of literacy, literacy instruction, literacy achievement, and literacy assessment of various groups within the United States and groups outside the United States. Special attention is given to the relationship of class, gender, and ethnicity to literacy. L
