Description
Course Description: This course offers an overview of functioning as a leader, scholar, and collaborator within the environment of nursing education. The roles and responsibilities of a nurse educator will be reviewed including professional development and activities that promote socialization to the role. Principles related to role development and competency management will be analyzed. A variety of methods for nurse educators to engage in the scholarship of teaching, demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning, and contribute to the academic community as a change agent will be addressed.
