EDRD 8350 - Inclusive Language and Literacy Instruction across Development

Description
This course aims to equip literacy specialist candidates with a comprehensive understanding of literacy development theories, effective instructional practices, and inclusive education strategies. Through a series of reflective essays, class discussions, lesson demonstrations, evaluations of instructional videos, and the development of strategic instructional improvement plan, candidates will deepen their knowledge of literacy development frameworks, critically engage with academic literature, and apply evidence-based practices to support diverse learners. By integrating theory and practice, candidates will enhance their ability to design, implement, and evaluate effective and inclusive literacy instruction, ultimately fostering an equitable learning environment for all students.
