Minor Requirements

A grade of C is required for all courses counting toward the minor.

Students who wish to minor in Africana Studies should complete the following requirements (15).

Choose one of the following two courses (3 hours)

AAS 3975 - Concepts and Theories in Africana Studies 3 Credit Hours
AAS 4120 - African-American Political Thought 3 Credit Hours

Complete the following two courses (6 hours)

AAS 2010 - Introduction to Africana Studies 3 Credit Hours
AAS 3120 - African Diaspora 3 Credit Hours

Select two Africana Studies courses at the 3000 level or above (6 Hours)
