Certificate of Less than One Year In Insurance
The Insurance Certificate provides students with the technical and practical knowledge necessary to succeed in the insurance industry. In addition to earning course credit, this certificate program will lead insurance professionals to take insurance industry certification exams necessary for professional growth. The coursework will include content in insurance theory and operation, modern communication methods, business practices, and problem solving. The certificate will also introduce prospective insurance professionals to industry practices.
14 hours (five courses) are required for completion of the program. Two of the courses, PERS 2002 and BUSA 1105, can partially fulfill requirements in the Business Administration Pathway, A.S. , should students decide to continue on to the associate’s program.
