Concentration Requirements
The general requirements for the Ph.D. program are outlined in the general Ph.D. in Chemistry Section. The specific course requirements for the Biochemistry concentration are as follows: - A minimum of 11 credit hours of Biochemistry area core coursework.
- A minimum of 9 credits in interdisciplinary electives approved by the Biochemistry Concentration.
- A minimum of 4 credits of CHEM 8800 (Seminar in Chemistry).
- A minimum of 6 credits of CHEM 8900 (Directed Study in Chemistry)
- A minimum of 50 hours of research, at least 30 hours of which must be Dissertation Research (CHEM 9999).
