Analytical Chemistry Concentration

Concentration Requirements
The general requirements for the Ph.D. program are outlined in the general Ph.D. in Chemistry Section. The specific course requirements for the Analytical Chemistry concentration are as follows:
- A minimum of 12 credit hours of Analytical Chemistry area core coursework.
- A minimum of 9 credits in interdisciplinary electives approved by the Analytical Chemistry Concentration.
- A minimum of 4 credits of CHEM 8800 (Seminar in Chemistry).
- A minimum of 6 credits of CHEM 8900 (Directed Study in Chemistry).
- A minimum of 50 hours of research, at least 30 hours of which must be Dissertation Research (CHEM 9999 ).
* The total number of credits from courses + research must add up to at least 80 credit hours.
