Business Analytics Concentration

The concentration in business analytics provides students with the required skills to succeed in data-rich business environments. These areas span data analysis, management science, business intelligence and decision support systems.The contextual topics include data vizualization, data mining, and artificial intelligence. Graduates will be able to analyze data and use the findings to guide organizational decision-making.

Required Courses (9 Hours)

The required courses for the concentration (nine semester hours) follow:

MGT 8020 - Business Intelligence 3 Credit Hours
MGT 8040 - Data Mining 3 Credit Hours
MGT 8150 - Business Modeling 3 Credit Hours

Electives (3 Hours)

For electives, select an additional three semester hours (1 course) for a concentration from the following list:

MGT 8170 - Statistical Modeling 3 Credit Hours
MGT 8710 - Managing Logistics and Supply Chains 3 Credit Hours
MGT 8730 - Project Management 3 Credit Hours
MGT 8760 - Quality Management in Supply Chains 3 Credit Hours

Note

Electives can be substituted by other relevant courses through prior approval by a faculty adviser.
