Concentration Requirements

The MSIS with a concentration in Information Technology is usually offered as a year-long cohort program. The purpose of the Master of Science in Information Systems program is to produce graduates who are able to combine business knowledge with the latest information systems tools and techniques. Graduates will be prepared for careers in a variety of areas such as systems development, information systems managements, consulting, project management, software quality management, database management, security and privacy, and business process design. Required courses for this concentration:

• CIS 8391 - Field Study in Computer Information Systems 1 Credit Hours
• Elective Courses in Computer Information Systems and Related Fields as detailed in (2.c.) above. 12 Hours
