Applications for the Moving Image Studies (follows the Research Thesis Option degree requirements) emphasis will be accepted for both fall and spring semesters.  The application deadline for fall admission is March 15 for M.A. applicants.  The application deadline for the spring semester (for the Moving Image Studies emphasis of the M.A. program only) is November 15.  The school will not consider requests for Special Graduate Status admission.

The Moving Image Production emphasis of the M.A. degree remains a part of the School of Film, Media & Theatre but is primarily designed to support our dual degree program. All applicants who are interested in filmmaking and who were not in the dual degree program at GSU as an undergraduate are encouraged to apply to the Filmmaking concentration of the M.F.A. degree in Digital Filmmaking.

  • Two letters of recommendation from individuals who can evaluate the applicant’s potential to do graduate work in Film, Video, and Digital Imaging.
