PHPH 7355 - Prevention Methods

Prerequisites: PHPH 7711, PHPH 8721.
Description
The course will be taught in a lecture/discussion format, with presentations by the instructor on methodologic and substantive issues that relate to prevention. The course assumes a basic knowledge of epidemiologic methods and the management and analysis of epidemiology data. The actual topics will change from year to year, depending on the interests and research of the faculty/student group. Emphasis will be on intervention methods and their evaluation, with illustrations from some of the major efforts at disease prevention that have been attempted.
